Another great American talent, would be the one and only Beyoncé Knowles. The woman with the world class vibrato came back to solidfy her 2004 rendition of the national anthem at the Superbowl. This version was similar to the latter in most every way, most notably in the changed ending. Unfortunately this performance, while far from a flop, paled in comparison to her previous rendition. The fault though wasn't hers, rather her microphone being drowned out by the orchestra in the beginning, and her ear piece malfunctioning in the middle of the piece caused minor issues. Even without an ear piece, she held her ground and avoided all intonation issues. A strong performance nonetheless, but still slightly below her 2004 rendition.
Edit: Well she lipped it. I'm not going to hold it against her since everyone knows the girl can sing, but I still believe her previous live rendition was better.
